At this point you have a proven, sustainable model that could be expanded if that’s your goal. Your original donors are likely to be excited by what you’ve created and may want to help you find new funding to expand. There are also opportunities to attract “impact investments” in the form of loans depending on the nature and needs of your project.
Important Note: Across the whole landscape of U.S. non-profits, the single largest source of revenue is “earned revenue”—i.e. fees for program services or products. Think creatively about how you might generate earned revenues. Of donated revenues, corporations account for 5%, foundations for 15% and individual donors account for 80%, 72% in cash and 8% in bequests.
